Award Criteria
The Outstanding Business Leader Award recognises an inspirational business leader who has demonstrated a commitment to their workplace, industry, and the community through leadership, while providing mentorship to others.
Entrants must demonstrate their ability to lead and inspire people, showcasing exceptional leadership skills and strategic decision-making, while demonstrating how they have effectively utilised resources to achieve strong organisational outcomes, drive innovation, and deliver measurable success over the past 18 months.
Entrants must also demonstrate financial responsibility and success, outlining how their leadership has contributed to the organisation’s financial stability, performance, or growth. This may include evidence of responsible financial management, improved financial outcomes, or initiatives that have strengthened the organisation’s overall financial position.
To be eligible for this category, the individual must have held a senior management or executive-level position within their organisation for a minimum of 18 months at the time of entry.
Entry Eligibility
To be eligible, entrants must operate as a sole trader, partnership, or registered business located in or servicing the MidCoast, NSW region. Some award categories may also require entrants to be members of a local business chamber.
Terms and Conditions of Entry
All entries must be submitted online and include all required information before the closing date. The Awards Committee reserves the right to deem any entry ineligible if it is incomplete, misleading, or found to contain false information. By submitting your application, winners consent to their entry being forwarded to the Mid North Coast Regional Business Awards for the corresponding category, where they may compete against multiple local winners due to category overlap.
All awards are judged by an independent panel of professionals from outside the region, and their decision is final. Entrants consent to being contacted by The Organiser by phone or email if further information is required.

Confidentiality
All information provided in your entry will be used solely for the judging process and treated as commercial-in-confidence. If you are selected as a finalist, non-financial information such as your business name, logo, website, and images may be used for promotional purposes.
Waiver
The MidCoast Business Awards Committee and Forster Tuncurry Business Chamber (“The Organiser”) have no influence over the judging process. All eligible entries are submitted for independent assessment, and The Organiser accepts no responsibility for the content or outcome of any application.
